Smart mirror

The smart mirror is an innovative and effective solution developed in collaboration with the University of Castilla-la Mancha to assist users in their daily routines, rehabilitation processes, physical and mental progress evaluation, social interaction, and more.

When the system is turned off, it functions as a regular mirror. When turned on, the mirror is capable of interacting with users through its touchscreen and overlaying information on the reflection, offering a personalized and unique experience that can help monitor rehabilitation progress, provide basic informational support, guide stress and anxiety relief exercises, and more.

Furthermore, its modern and attractive design makes it suitable for any environment, from homes to medical facilities. The use of a smart mirror is motivated by its user-friendly nature and wide range of functions that can be tailored to each user’s needs. For example, it can play relaxing music, display inspiring images and videos, offer reminders to take medication or perform breathing exercises, and much more. Additionally, the mirror can be programmed to adjust to each user’s preferences and provide a personalized experience. Currently, it offers the following services:

  • Guided physical exercise rehabilitation
  • Teleconference calling
  • Cognitive evaluation test (Under development with the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria)
  • Frailty evaluation test (Under development with CIBERFEST)
  • Acts as a gateway for activity trackers and home sensors to monitor user habits.

The smart mirror is an innovative solution for research groups and companies focused on healthcare and well-being. With its ability to enhance the quality of life for seniors or individuals undergoing rehabilitation, the mirror can be used in a wide variety of settings, including nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals.
